Privacy Policy

SproutChores ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we do — and deliberately don't — collect when you use sproutchores.com.
The short version
- Our chore-chart generator runs entirely in your browser. Names, ages, and chores you type are never sent to or stored by us.
- We use Google Analytics to understand which pages help families — but only after you accept analytics in our cookie banner. Decline and no analytics cookies are set.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't run advertising or affiliate tracking at this time.
- You can optionally give us your email to get a free printable pack and occasional new printables. It's never required, and you can unsubscribe anytime.
Information we collect
Information you provide: none is required to use the site. If you email us, we receive your email address and message so we can reply.
Chart generator inputs: any name, age, or chores you enter are processed locally in your browser to render and print your chart. This information is not transmitted to our servers (we don't run an application server) and is not stored by us.
Analytics (with consent): if you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies and collects standard, aggregated usage data — pages viewed, approximate region, device type, and how you arrived. We use it only to improve the site. We use Google Consent Mode, so until you accept, Google does not store analytics cookies on your device.
Email subscription (optional): if you submit your email to get the free chart pack, we store your email address with our email provider, MailerLite, to send you the pack and occasional "new printables" updates. We use double opt-in: you'll get a confirmation email and are only added to the list once you confirm. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time. We don't sell or share it. Submitting an email is never required — the charts and generator are free regardless.
Cookies
We set no non-essential cookies unless you accept analytics. If you accept, Google Analytics cookies are used to measure usage. You can change your mind any time by clearing this site's cookies and local storage in your browser, which will bring back the consent banner.
Third parties
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — analytics, only after consent. See Google's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare and GitHub Pages — DNS and static hosting; they may process standard server/request logs to deliver the site securely.
- MailerLite (MailerLite Limited) — email delivery for our optional email updates and the free chart pack, only if you subscribe. See MailerLite's privacy policy.
Children's privacy
SproutChores is intended for parents and caregivers, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region). The chart generator does not transmit any information a child or parent types.
Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, to object to processing, or to opt out of "sale" of personal information. Because the only personal data we hold is your email address (if you subscribe) and any message you send us — and analytics is consent-based and aggregated — these requests are usually simple. Email subscribers' data is processed by MailerLite, which may transfer it internationally under standard contractual clauses (see their privacy policy linked above). Changes
We'll update this page if our practices change (for example, if we add advertising or affiliate links) and revise the date above.
